It is very important to publish the stomatological research carried out, for a series of

reasons, the ﬁrst and main, of course, is to make known the knowledge resulting from the

research, so that it can be used by the dental community in general, it is essential that

from students to professionals can learn and implement this new knowledge in daily

practice for the beneﬁt of the population in general and Dentistry itself.

Scientiﬁc articles serve as indispensable tools to improve knowledge, solve problems and

promote innovation in various branches of science. When research is conducted, it is

often driven by the desire to make signiﬁcant contributions to a particular area of

knowledge. A crucial aspect of research is the publication of scientiﬁc articles in indexed

journals.

The Guatemalan Scientiﬁc Journal of Dentistry of the School of Postgraduate Studies of the Faculty of Dentistry of

the University of San Carlos of Guatemala (USAC), was created and approved by the Postgraduate Academic

Council in Punto Sexto, Inciso 6.1 of Acta 07-2022, the journal pursues several objectives, among which it is

important to highlight: make unpublished publications, provide a space for academic and scientiﬁc dissemination

under the criteria and rigor dictated by science and technology currently, but also seeks to generate academia, in

discussion and publication of different research aimed at respond to the needs and problems of society.

cordial invitation to professionals in the Dental Sciences, teachers, researchers, students, and the dental community

in general, both from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala , as well as national and international universities, to
